Crochet

Note: while I try hard not to break links, and so the following will still function, this page is no longer being maintained. See the Craft-by-Craft Contents for the status quo.

Crochet is one of my three main crafts, and the one I have focused on professionally most recently. Here’s what’s available on ReveDreams for it:

  • Look at the posts in my crochet category, or narrow to crochet done with yarn, embroidery floss, or other materials (thread, ribbon, wire) specifically.
  • Learn how to crochet with my extensive self-study program. This walks you through learning the basic stitches and techniques step by step. There are descriptions, diagrams, and photos here, and links to more of the same plus videos. I try to impart everything I’ve learned about stitching as well as link to places where people do things differently or have studied a topic in depth and written about it.
  • Shop my crochet pattern store for a variety of amigurumi and small decorative items.
  • Visit the crochet reference page, which has the information you need to read crochet patterns (mine in particular), plus some links out to instruction in particular techniques.
  • Cherry-pick particular pages from the crochet class. Of most interest, I expect, are a page of amigurumi techniques and a growing list of possible crochet techniques to move on to, with links to instruction as much as I could find.
  • Check out variations, joins, borders, and uses for granny squares on a page I made to supplement the handout for a class called Learn Crochet Via Granny Squares.
  • Visit the free patterns page for my posted crochet patterns and tutorials. The first three sections of the page are crochet: amigurumi patterns (stuffed things), non-amigurumi patterns for objects, and crochet stitch patterns that can be used for a variety of finished pieces.
